I love to collect and play with paper, especially making 3D items. I also love to collect fabric! I think I have a problem!!!

TWILIGHT FAIRIES

EVERYONE LOVES FAIRIES!
How enchanting are fairies!  Let these mythical fairies take your creative mind off into a land of mystery and mystical magic!  This collection can decorate your page layout, dress up a card, or you can  make wonderful decorations for a birthday party.  You can even cut the pieces out of vinyl to decorate your childs bedroom walls!

Here is a magical ball I made using the circle frame.
I cut out 6, sized at 7 inches.
Fold each circle in half.  (Fold in between two of the open circles in the inside that are side
by side.  This will be where the pony beads go later).   Glue one half a circle to another half,
 lining up perfectly.
Then, glue the next half to another, and so on until you have all the pieces glued
into a ball, and at the end glue the final two pieces together to fully finish the ball.
It's so simple!!! (Leave just a tad space open to fish through a wire to hang the fairy)
I did not have to resize the fairy.  I cut two, one I flipped in Ecal.  This is so I could
put the color for the wings in the middle and the fairy would look the same on both sides.
When you glue the pieces back to back, don't forget to put a wire or whatever you
will use to hang the fairy with in between the layers as you glue.
I added beads, you can add whatever or nothing.  You decide.  I think the beads keeps
her stable.  After pulling her through the ball, add more beads, as much as you want.
I used a beading wire and strung the pony beads in between each circle piece (as you
can see in the picture) on the inside, top and bottom.  This helps secure the paper ball
to stay in a perfect position as a ball shape.
That's it!  Hope you like it!

CHRISTMAS CHEER SVG KIT

CHRISTMAS IN JULY
The Christmas Cheer Kit is adorable.  I hope you all hop over to SVG CUTS and check out the new kit.  Mary has designed another great kit with 7 of the most awesome Christmas cards.  And not just cards!  The possiblities of other crafty ideas will come out, just wait and see!  I took the poinsettia wreath card and decided to turn it into a wreath for my sewing/craft room door.  I made it the full size of the 12x12 mat so it is huge!  It turned out awesome!  And it was so fast and easy to make.  This is definitely a must have kit.
Here is the new kit and below is my wreath.  Enjoy and thanks for dropping by!

Here's my tree!  A tree for Aunt Betty
When I was a little girl back in the 60's, my Aunt Betty always put up a silver tree decorated with silver balls and silver garland!  And then, ready for this, she would sit that spinning light that changes colors in the floor and shine it on the tree!
The lights always come multi-colored, but somehow she had all pink lights in her spinning light!
I remember sitting for hours on end just staring at that amazing tree!
And I can recall her church-going friends tell her she wasn't getting into heaven
because she was so extravagant with her tree!
Well, let me tell you, she would let them have it!
She always said she wasn't doing it for herself or the kids, but for baby Jesus!
If anyone knew my Aunt Betty, you would know she was the one person who put everyone first.
She didn't buy herself clothes or jewelry or fancy perfume.
Her home was clean, but nothing more than that.
But don't dare say anything about her "Pink" tree.
She did it for Jesus.  She lived with love in her heart and a big heart she sure did have!

BUTTONS IN A MASON JAR

Buttons For You, Dear Friend
A friend of mine moved away, and a great way to keep in touch is by writing letters!
Remember doing that!  No computers or texting for her!
So, each month we make sure we keep in touch by sending each other a letter,
and we also exchange a sewing-related item which we decide what it should be in the letter the month beforehand and it must fit in the envelope!  Nothing fancy or expensive!
A few months back it was six 6x6 inch squares of fabric.  We both like to quilt!
This time we are sending 15 buttons.  I want green, she wants yellow and shanked!
So, I decided to literally make her card with the buttons.
What do you think?

I did sneak in a vintage diamond button because I know she will make a ring out of it!!

The mason jar is a freebie from Mary at SVGCUTS.
The card base and the rest is the collage card from the Poplar Street Tulips Kit.

CAMP SMORE SVG KIT

Check out the new kit at SVG CUTS.
It's that time of year for camping and sitting around the fire
telling those spooky stories and roasting marshmallows.
Look at this adorable kit:
The layout page is perfect for those camping photos, and how cute is that lantern.
And the vintage thermos bottle is perfect for the older generation who remembers the good ole days.  Just fill it up with some yummy goodies or a small gift.
Who wouldn't love the smores box filled with yummies to make a delicious treat!
The teepee is something I had been thinking about making a few months ago,
and now, thanks to Mary, here it is!
FYI-The Forest County Collection has the cutest dreamcatcher
which I think would be cute with the teepee!

So, there you go!
HAPPY CAMPING!
And don't eat too many smores!

SPOOKY FERRIS WHEEL made by LEO KOWAL

BEWARE IF YOU DARE TO PROCEED!
Look at this awesome FERRIS WHEEL from the SUMMER STREET CARNIVAL KIT!
Leo of SVGCUTS loves Halloween and just had to make his "scariswheel" as Deb from http://debscraftyside.blogspot.com/ would say!  (You have to go check her site out if you haven't already.  She is totally awesome, guys!)  And she created the word, "SCARISWHEEL"!  Which we are all using over on the svgcuts fb page!  So fun!
When you get to the page, click on the month of June or "see more recent stories" to find the post!
Make sure you "watch" the video!
OOOOH!  SPOOKY!
Carnivals are fun, but they are so creepy, too!
AWESOME JOB, LEO!
